Just thought I would mention http://www.jobs4development.com, an international development jobs site which I helped to design. I hope that it will prove a simple but effective way of finding jobs in the international development field. All comments are welcome!

Since the first edition of “Better Ways to Find Humanitarian Employment” was announced on ELDIS and other sites in 2008, some thousands of people requested a copy. Readers’ responses gave ideas for improvement and a clear call was made for an extended edition.

You will be pleased to know that the book has been fully revised with help from additional authors, updated and expanded (now 163 pages) to include all the suggestions that were made.

The title has been changed to “A Guide to Voluntary and Humanitarian Work – getting started, getting in and getting on” and it is available through our new web site at: www.voluntaryhumanitarianwork.com.

The web site contains an extensive list of sites with humanitarian job vacancies, further information, and a library resources page with excellent, free, down-loadable humanitarian documents. It also includes a selection of comments from readers of the 1st edition. (See if your comment is there!)

We trust these resources will be helpful to you. Your feed-back will be welcome. Please respond to helmhelp@gmail.com.

Our very best wishes for the New Year
